Description
In Azerbaijan, environmental data are collected by several institutions and shared mainly to the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, and then to the State Statistical Committee for the publication of environmental statistics. The State Statistical Committee’s website is the main portal for the dissemination of statistics, including environmental statistics. Azerbaijan has developed a “National Strategy on the development of the information society in the Republic of Azerbaijan” for 2014-2020. There is a need to start evaluating the progress and swiftly adopt a new strategic programme for the coming decade.
