Open Data

Open data is emerging in Armenia. The Law on Freedom of Information (adopted in 2003) confirms the public right to access information. Currently, open data is disseminated by public authorities through their web portals, usually in non-machine-readable formats.

EU4Environment – Water and Data works to support the development of an online entry point for access to data and information on water and the environment in Armenia. Its development requires reinforcing access to existing data and information, developing metadata to ease data integration, and developing means to allow feedback and contributions from citizens.
